Woman Stopped At Airport For Carrying Gun-Shaped Shoes
A woman was stopped at the Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport on Sunday after Transportation Security Administration officers discovered gun-shaped shoes in her luggage.
The shoes, made by brand Pleaser and called the Bondgirl-701-3, have platforms that feature what look like bullets and heels meant to look like a handgun.
TSA public-affairs spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein shared photos of the shoes on her Twitter account, writing, “Shoes and bracelets that are less than ideal to wear or bring to a @TSA checkpoint. These delayed a traveler at BWI.”
Pleaser took to Instagram to clear up any confusion about its style: “While the shoes will only serve to make you [look] fabulous and otherwise pose no other threat, we don’t recommend carrying your #Bondgirl heels in your carry on. We’d hate for you to miss your flight or lose your shoes!”
